icon5 Need help installing 129

I have been trying to get the 129 satellite to register on my 722 but am unable to find the signal. My zip code is 31558. I have the 110 and 119 set but cannot find the 129 to be able to watch HD. Can someone please help me with the Skew, elev and the azm. Thanks

Bob

having the hd recvr you should be able to tell it you have a 1000 dish & it will tell you the settings.... first thing though ... this is very important .... you MUST have your pole level
plumb to the ground....usually if you get the 110 & 119 ... you should get the 129 ....

something you want to check ... make certain that you are recvg the 110 on the 110 element & the 119 on the 119 element.... if your elevation is off ... you might be getting them on the wrong elements... making it impossible to recv the 129 .........

all you need to do is put your hand over each element & see when you loose the signal

I had Dish network before I installed the 722. All I did was, I placed the same setting that was on the 500 dish and set them to the 1000.2 dish and I am not able to get a signal for the 129. Is there a different setting for the 129 that I need to set. I am in South Georgia about 45 miles from Jacksonville, FL. does this have anything to do with the line of sight for the dish or not. Any and all help woudl greatly be appreciated so that I do not have to pay to have a tech come out and set it. Thanks.

your settings are going to be different ... go in the menu & ..go to the installation setup i think it is 6,1,1... i think it is where you see the signal reading or one before or after ...

set your dish to 1000... it might be already set ... then put in your zip code ... it will tell
you the az, el, & skew or tilt... be certain that the pole is plumb & all your settings are correct...go too for to the west & move back to the south ... be sure that you are picking up the correct sat with the correct lnb...

my setting for the dish 500 is az 220, el 46, skew 125.... for the 1000 az 225, el 42, skew 129

im in new orleans, La.... so yes ... they are different
