Default XM Vehicle Antenna

My 2006 Silverado has factory-installed XM radio. I want to use the truck's XM antenna on a SkyFi2 portable. Although the truck antenna has an SMB connector, I get no XM reception. Is it possibly a ground issue? Any suggestions?

What type of cable is used for XM antennas? Is it 50 or 75 Ohms?
